According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in April 2022, China exported 4.977 million tons of steel, an increase of 32,000 tons from the previous month and a year-on-year decrease of 37.6%; the cumulative export of steel from January to April was 18.156 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 29.2%.
Among them:
China exported 605,000 tons of galvanized steel coils, a decrease of 100,000 tons from the previous month, and a year-on-year decrease of 14.4%;
China exported 605,000 tons of
galvalume steel coils, a decrease of 50,000 tons from the previous month, a year-on-year decrease of 12.7%;
China exported750,000 tons of color coated steel coils, a decrease of 125,000 tons from the previous month and a year-on-year decrease of 10.2%.
In April, China imported 956,000 tons of steel, a decrease of 55,000 tons from the previous month, and a year-on-year decrease of 18.3%; the cumulative imported steel from January to April was 4.174 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.7%.
In April, China imported 86.056 million tons of iron ore and concentrates, a decrease of 1.227 million tons from the previous month, a year-on-year decrease of 12.7%; from January to April, the cumulative import of iron ore and its concentrates was 354.38 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.1%.
